General Information

SpamServ is a Anti SpamService who protects the Channel to be spammed and/or flooded by users. It bans them after a certain count of messages which can be set individual for each channel. A User will recieve a Warning before he gets banned the next time. Also you can disable to scan voiced or opped users.

General functions

• STATUS
  • Displays informations about the network, how many people are online and how many channels are registered at SpamServ.

• ADDEXCEPTION <word>
  • Adds a word to the exception-list. SpamServ will check the sentences in the channel for this word. The user won't be punished if one is found, no matter what else the sentence contains. The words should be chosen carefully to prevent SpamServ being useless. Without parameters all exceptions will be displayed.

• DELEXCEPTION <word>
  • Deletes an exception.

Required channel access (depends on SETTERS): 400 is standard

SpamServ channel-properties

SET <setting> <value> Sets the setting <setting> the value <value>. Settings and possible values are:

• Setting: SPAMLIMIT
  • Possible values: 0 - 4
  • Sets how often a user is allowed to write the same message without kick.
    • 0 - You're allowed to write the same message 2 times.
    • 1 - You're allowed to write the same message 3 times.
    • 2 - You're allowed to write the same message 4 times.
    • 3 - You're allowed to write the same message 5 times.
    • 4 - You're allowed to write the same message 6 times.

• Setting: ADVREACTION
  • Possible values: 0 - 4
  • Sets what should happen to advertising users.
    • 0 - Kicks the user
    • 1 - Kickbans the user
    • 2 - Bans the user for 15 minutes
    • 3 - Bans the user for 1 hour
    • 4 - Kills the user (Only setable by OPs)

• Setting: WARNREACTION
  • Possible values: 0 - 4
  • Sets what should happen to spamming users who have been warned before (look ADVREACTION)
    • 0 - Kicks the user
    • 1 - Kickbans the user
    • 2 - Bans the user for 15 minutes
    • 3 - Bans the user for 1 hour
    • 4 - Kills the user (Only setable by OPs)

• Setting: ADVSCAN
  • Possible values: 0|1
  • If this setting is enabled, SpamServ checks all messages for advertisements. Advertisements are words starting with: [URL]http://,[/URL] ftp., [URL]ftp://[/URL] und [URL]www.[/URL]

• Setting: SPAMSCAN
  • Possible values: 0|1
  • If this setting is enabled, SpamServ checks all incoming channel messages for spam. SPAM is posting the same message multiple times. View SPAMLIMIT

• Setting: JOINFLOODSCAN
  • Possible values: 0|1
  • If this setting is enabled, SpamServ checks the joinfloods. Joinflood is when a person rejoins a channel very often in a short period of time.

• Setting: SCANCHANOPS
  • Possible values: 0|1
  • Sets if messages of channelops are scanned for advertisements/spam/joinfloods. For joinfloods the accesslevel is the basis point.

• Setting: SCANVOICED
  • Possible values: 0|1
  • Sets if messages of voiced users are scanned for advertisements/spam/joinfloods. For joinfloods the accesslevel is the basis point.
