The IRC support at the OnlineGamesNet

We have two IRC support channel:

#help and #support

Primary the IRC help will be happen in #help. There you will find user and IRC supporter who will help you. Does not matter if ChanServ / AuthServ problems or problems with your IRC cliend.

Of course you can help any user here if you know the answer of the question.

So it will be the user helping user principle like it is practiced in the boards.

If you are the opinion you need a IRC supporter (e.g. Channel registration, AuthServ-account renames) write your problem to HelpServ using: /support YourQuestion Just write a short but useful sentence which describes your problem.

A supporter will read that and - if it is relevant for #support - pick up your request and you will be invited to #support by HelpServ (just type /join #support)

It can happen that it is not relevant enough for a supporter and he decilines the request. Then try it at #help. In common it will be commented or the supporter will help you at #help

Why #help and why is #support invite only?

In the past time the OnlineGamesNet has been grown fast but the IRC-Staff can not be 24 hours online at #support

Many may have noticed that #support is sometimes without support. That was not good for all and so we decided to create #help as a central point for all IRC problems and you do not have to miss support without request. Additionally we have the chance - while observing the helping user - to recognize potential supporter and we can judge the qualitiy of applicant.

Some "Rules"

  • Do not talk to Operators at #help via query without asking them first. If we are there we will react in the channel.
  • In #help should be helped serious. So answer serious and do not twit someone.
  • Scripts like away-scripts/mp3-scripts/etc. are forbidden at #help
