Download



Step 1:
Go to the Webpage of Trillian to klick the Download-Button

http://www.trillian.im/download/



Step 2:
At the CNet Download page klick the download button to confirm it. Select the destination where you want to download the file to and wait until the download is finished.

Step 3:
Open the downloaded file.

Installation



Step 4:
You have to agree to the User License to use Trillian. If you do so click "agree"

Step 5:
Select the installation destination and click next if you want to use the standard-folder.

Step 6:
IF you want to use the ASK-Toolbar for Internet Explorer which comes with Trillian click next. IF you don't want to use it uncheck the agreement checkbox. Then the toolbar won't be installed

Step 7:
Wait until the installation progress is finished

Step 8:
If you haven't installed the Adobe® Flash® 9+ Plugin for Internet Explorer this warning will appear. Install it by clicking "Yes".

Step 9:
Wait until the Flash® is installed and click "Close"

Step 10:
Wait until Trillian finished installation and click "Launch"

First Startup



Step 11:
Click on "New Account" to add your Accounts.

Step 12:
If you already registered an Trillian Astra-Account click on "add". If you start Trillian for the first time click at the button "New"

Step 13:
This is a short overview what will happen now. Just click next.

Step 14:
Now you have to register an Trillian Astra Account. Fill in the form and also enter the code from the picture. If you're over 13 and agree the Terms of Service also check the checkbox. Then click next

Step 15:
Thick about a password for your Trillian Astra Account and enter it. Also chose a security question and answer or write one yourself by clicking into the form. Then click next.

Step 16:
Now you'll recieve an email to the given email address. This email contains a confirmation code which you'll have to enter before you can click next. Please check also your spam folder for the mail.

Step 17:
This is the email with the confirmation code. Enter it to the form. And click next.

Step 18:
Chose a style you want to use. Click at the options to get a preview. If you chose one click next.

Step 19:
You'll now get to the next step. Just click next.

Step 20:
Check the checkboxes of the protocols you want to use. In this case we just chose "IRC". Then click next.

Step 21:
Click next.

Step 22:
Configure your displayed name and your name if you want.

Step 23:
Chose your avatar or use no icon. Click next when you decided.

Step 24:
Enter some basic informations. You don't have to if you don't want to. Click next when finished.

Step 25:
If you're living in the U.S. you can enter your zip-code to get your weather displayed. Otherwise click skip.

Step 26:
Enter your mood. You don't have to if you don't want to. Click next when finished.

Step 27:
Now you're done with the setup of Trillian and click Done

Step 28:
Now you're launching Trillian.

Adding IRC to Trillian



Step 29:
Click at the marked Button to open the settings.

Step 30:
Now click at "preferences" to get to the preferences.

Step 31:
To get connected to OnlineGamesNet you now have to enter the correct server information. Click at "Identities & Connections" to get there.

Step 32:
You see now your already added Trillian Astra account. Click at "Add new connection" to add a new IRC connection.

Step 33:
Click at IRC to add a IRC-Server connection.

Step 34:
Enter the IRC Server Information. The data for OnlineGamesNet are

Name: OnlineGamesNet 
Nick: YourNickName
Server: irc.onlinegamesnet.net

Now check the checkbox "Automatically connect to this account on startup". If you want to connect automatically when Trillian loads up. and Click "Connect" for this time.

Now you just need to click on the displayed symbol, pick 'Join a Channel' and enter the chan of your choice and the channel-password if it is set. If all worked you should find yourself in the Channel which looks like Step 38
